La foto mostra Andy Serkis nel suo "vestito" di motion capture, come Cesare su un cavallo, mentre incontra alcuni esseri umani. 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' oltre a Serkins avrà nel cast: Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo e Judy Greer. Twentieth Century Fox rilascerà la pellicola in tutto il mondo dal 23 maggio 2014, la regia è affidata a Matt Reeves ('Cloverfield')
